SOMEWHERE this morning I saw an announcement that this is an anniversary of sorts for the Disney Rock ‘n Roller Coaster attraction…probably the one in California. The question was asked whether YOU had ever experienced the adrenaline rush that is inevitable as the ride begins.
Well, I can say Yes! And I actually loved it. Though I must admit that the very first time I was standing in line…you know, chatting with those around you…and I saw the car leave the loading area, my jaw dropped and I just stared at the empty space. I asked the person next to me if they had just seen what I THOUGHT I had seen. Uhhh, yes.
I decided by the time that I got in the car that probably there was some sort of trick photography/mirrors/magic of Disney that made it APPEAR to be taking off at lightning speed.
Each “car” is furnished with a 125 speaker, 24 sub-woofer, 32,000 watt, onboard audio system—built to blast. Careen through the neon-filled streets of Tinseltown, the rock ‘n’ roll adrenaline pumping through your veins, your body feeling the force from launch to loop at zero to 60 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds. This is one limo ride you’ll always remember!
And that’s a true statement.
