Say Georgia here and most people think of a nearby country.
Say Georgia elsewhere and many people would think of an American state.
For SOME of us, when we say Georgia, we’re speaking of a friend.
And on Wednesday, Georgia arrived in Ukraine for a several-week visit. It’s been just about a year since she sold her flat in Kyiv and moved back to California.
She’s a real trooper — she arrived at our flat this afternoon with maybe fifteen minutes until we were off to play games with some young hospitalized friends. No time for jet lag when you visit us…way too much to be done!
Looking forward to these next few weeks. Welcome back, Georgia.
