While in the states we purchased a DVD featuring the Christmas episodes of classic TV shows. Tonight we decided to watch the first episode: Christmas Goose, from the Adventures of Robin Hood. Black and white. And though not always great acting, the storyline was built around character, and right and wrong. And lessons taught for all ages. No yelling. No off-color innuendos. Real conversations.
Amused by the line during the Christmas dinner thrown by the lord so that the peons could bring him gifts: And on the day of our Lord’s birth, we are reminded that all people are equal. And on this day we will act as though we believe it. (Or something to that effect.)
The trial of a goose named Matilda.
Whose goose will be cooked?
