Christmas in July

Christmas in July. When we lived in the States that would typically mean that there was a summer sale taking place. Or there was an excuse for a gathering of some sort.

But now that we live in Ukraine, Christmas in July has a whole new meaning. Actually shopping for a December Christmas in July. Crazy, eh?

We plan to visit Anna in Kathmandu sometime over the holidays, so we can actually hand-deliver gifts this year. AND Jamie and Dasha are heading this way next week for a vacation so THEY can actually hand-deliver anything we can get to them (within reason, of course!) to us. BUT it means that we have to have our Christmas thinking caps on NOW!!

Lightweight. Easy to pack. Suggestions??

Ho, ho, ho!

Or how does online shopping with Stateside delivery work? Amazon, etc.

Anna shared her fun Christmas memories with me on her visit. Be sure to cover the “present/tree” room with a sheet:-)

  4. Haha, good times.

Seriously, your presence is more than enough for me. 🙂

On second thought, how about some electricity and water when you come? It’s actually been raining quite steadily for the past 6 hours! I’ve almost filled all my buckets… 200ish liters. Woo hoo, can flush the toilet, wash the dishes , do laundry AND take a shower because I have so much! Unfortunately, there is no water in the taps. What to do?

    Hey Marianna!!

Wish I could be there to shop w/ you on Andrevski Spoosk in Kiev!! Now that would be a hoot!

Please give big hugs to Dasha and Jamie since they’ll be there soon!

C Novom Godom early, Debbie 🙂
