Honey-baked ham. Sort of.

Twas the night before Thanksgiving…and actually for two days our kitchen has been abuzz with sauteeing, chopping, dicing, mixing, baking. Our Chornobyl turkey will be baked tomorrow: two breasts and four legs. Plus the bread that is on its second rising. Oh, and the second type of stuffing.

We’ve opted to not bake a ham this year, though Jeanne will miss the spiral-sliced honey-baked ham that we would have in the States. Oh, those were the days. Buy it ready to go!

What Ukraine may lack in the pre-packaged, pre-baked, pre-sliced foods of America, they make up in chips alone. How exciting it was to find THESE this evening:

Enjoy your ham tomorrow — we’ve already had the full flavor here tonight!
