The question is: How great would YOU feel if you removed one unused item from your home each day for a whole year? The declutter challenge.
Toss, Donate, or Sell one item from your home every single day for one year.
Scurrying around today trying to get organized before leaving town for a few days…thankful that Jeanne and Kolya will be here for the weekend. Even though WE’ll be gone, there are lots of people that would like to get some time with them.
I took my dresser drawers completely out of the dresser and placed them on the floor so that I could really see what I had, what kind of space I have to work with, and get a plan for organizing. I emptied EVERYTHING out and started digging through. (I stored things other than clothes in this dresser last year after we got back from the States — Christmas presents, etc. — and then never got things back to normal.
Winter clothes (turtlenecks, wintry socks, long underwear) are safely stored in a gym bag (I knew all of those soccer teams that our children played on…you know, the ones where everyone has matching bags…would one day come in handy!)
Back to the point: What did I get rid of today? How about scads of white sports socks of varying styles (some even BRAND NEW!). Actually I’m offering them to Jeanne, and if she doesn’t want them, she can pitch them herself. (I don’t even have a pair of sneakers here anymore…what would I need all those socks for?)
What did you dump today?
