Tour de France course
Five stages into this year’s Tour de France, and who would have predicted these results?
Lots of drama, to be sure, as Lance is in 2nd place…actually tied with the leader except for a few hundredths of a second. This is the guy who retired from racing? How in the world do you ever get yourself back into shape to not just keep pace, but to excel!
Team dynamics are already making for interesting tactics. And several riders have crashed out — two have broken bones and have had to exit the tour.
And the Tour hasn’t even reached the mountains yet. This weekend should prove to be very exciting — teamwork is crucial, but individual performances…strength, grit, experience, courage…will determine the stage winner.
