Sprucing up the blog

Don’t be alarmed if things look a bit shaky, temporarily. I have needed to update the sidebars for some time now…particularly links that have gone bad. And also books read!!
While I’m at it, and because something has gone seriously wrong with the “skin” I had on, I’ll probably be changing the whole look.
