The question is: How great would YOU feel if you removed one unused item from your home each day for a whole year? The declutter challenge.
Toss, Donate, or Sell one item from your home every single day for one year.
No rules.
No advice.
First of all, an admission here. I pre-dumped. I knew I’d be out of town, so I pitched two items before I left. And I am officially going to count them for Saturday and Sunday. The rest of the week, I’m going to be decluttering at my mom’s! (Okay, so it won’t be MY home, but it is a home away from home, and SAHMmy said there are no rules! See above…)
So, Saturday: I pre-pitched a rock-hard bag of brown sugar. Wasn’t in the kitchen…go figure. And a dear family sent us some FRESH brown sugar just a little while ago — which we are using rapidly (uh, because, it IS in the kitchen), though I am pleased to share some with Jeanne whenever she comes to Kyiv and directly back to her home. PLUS, as my friend Michelle commented when I originally posted about the fabulous gift of brown sugar: It has been officially spotted for sale in Kyiv! Not by me. But others, including Jim, assure me that it’s true! (More room in my suitcase for crunchy peanut butter and coffee…)
What did you dump today?
