“We mostly spend those lives conjugating three verbs: to Want, to Have and to Do. Craving, clutching, and fussing, on the material, political, social, emotional, intellectual — even on the religious — plane, we are kept in perpetual unrest; forgetting that none of these verbs have any ultimate significance, except so far as they are transcended by and included in, the fundamental verb, to Be; and that Being, not wanting, having and doing, is the essence of the spiritual life.”
Evelyn Underhill, as quoted by Cynthia Heald in A Woman’s Journey to the Heart of God.

I just found your blog via “Rocks in My Dryer.” I was so excited to see a blog about Missionaries serving in Ukraine. My husband and our two daughters are praying about leaving the US in August or September to serve in Ukraine. We were there for a month in August (2007) visiting some friends with YWAM Kyiv. We are still not sure who we will be going with. We are still praying through some options. Thanks for a great way to keep up with missions in our beloved Ukraine.
Deanna: Be sure to keep me posted on your plans! Which YWAMers were you visiting? Lots of bloggers living here…check my blogroll: friends in Ukraine…
We were visiting YWAMers from YWAM Kyiv. They are on Rusanovka on the boat Venetsia is their office. We have some pix on our blog. We also visited Dniproderzhinsk and my favorite … Mukachevo. Our daughters were adopted from Ukraine so we have a special place in our heart for this area!!
Deanna: I know exactly where they are located! I’ve had dinner onboard… Just wondered who, in particular, you were visiting. Might know them…you just never know.
