As some of you know, I was recently presented with an Excellent blog award, and part of my job is to now pass on that honor to 10 additional blogs. I have already mentioned 3 blogs, and it is now time to introduce you to 7 more.

So, without further ado…I would like to present these Excellent awards to:
The Moments of my Life, a blog written by my sweet Ukrainian daughter-in-law Dasha. She is a journalist here in Ukraine, but writes her blog in English (sometimes better grammatically than other blogs I’ve seen out there…). She writes about her experiences as a student, journalist, wife. I only wish she’d post MORE OFTEN!
Charlie Wingard is a blog written by…uh, Charlie Wingard. He is a senior pastor at a church in Huntsville, Alabama. Not only does he post his sermons, but he has a deep love for books and shares about his favorites. If you’re into history, you’re into this blog! We first met Charlie when he pastored a church on Cape Cod and became forever entangled with him when he married a good friend of mine a few years back. You’re stuck with us, Charlie.
When I very first began blogging, I clicked on the links that connected Christian Women Online. I found a few blogs that seemed interesting, and I would check to see who was in the sidebar. So, now I am not exactly sure how I first ran across this blog, but it has stayed in my “must read” column.
Deo Volente. Lisa is passionate about her reformed faith and her posts reflect how her faith is practically applied to situations in her life. Very difficult ones, from time to time. She and her husband placed a video of their testimony in regards to how God saved their marriage. You will be blessed by this woman of God.
Oh My Stinkin Heck. Love that title? I first visited this blog because she was recommended as someone who understood wordpress blogs. And I am oh such a novice when it comes to the inner workings of a blog, or HTML, or even how my computer works most of the time. So I went to her blog, reluctantly followed her advice on some aspect of blogging, left her a comment that I had followed her suggestion plus mentioned another little tidbit, and WHAM! She EMAILED me to be sure that I hadn’t done something a bit crazy (this was in the other little tidbit I mentioned to her). To make a long story short, we went back and forth over several emails — sorting out my situation, but also getting to know each other just a little bit. I didn’t even realize at the time that this woman is a BIG-TIME blogger…who took the time to PERSONALLY help an unknown confused blogger in Ukraine. I am so grateful for her attention, and I understand why she has such a huge following! Get to know her. Guaranteed that you’ll laugh!
Smilnsigh. We all need a place to go that is simply an escape…if even for just a few minutes. This blog allows you to take deep breath, relax, and smile. The posts are frequently punctuated with vintage cards and photos, and the author simply encourages you to have a great day. Go smile.
Musings of a medical missionary. It was with only a slight hesitation that I list my dear husband’s blog — and only because he posts so sporadically! But when he DOES write something, it is WORTH the read. So put him in your reader so you’ll be notified when he posts!
Okay, now that leaves me with only more blog to choose. Do I pick one that I love with recipes? Or household hints? From a missionary? From the states? I just don’t know exactly what to do. So here’s the deal. I’ll share a blog every once in a while with you guys…not as part of a contest…so that you can get to know some people who are very special to me. Deal?
So, number 10:
Nanticoke*Blues. This blog is written by the wife of a pediatrician (Jim’s former partner), a homeschoolin’ mom, a new member of the Naomi club (for mothers-in-law!). Maybe because we have similar paths, I love to read what she’s up to. One of my latest favorites is her entry about exercise equipment (or rather expensive drying racks!):Check her January 28 post. And I adore her header photo!
(Now each of you needs to pass this award on to 10 other bloggers…leave a message on their blog to let them know!)

Well, you just made me cry. You are so sweet. I think, like you, I just write what is on my heart and had no idea people would be interested. Thank you for your kind words… and to God alone be ALL the glory.
Lisa: I didn’t mean to make you cry, but, I must admit, more than one of your posts has required kleenex for me!!
oh cool!!! I’m so honored!!!!!! Of course I’ll modestly say that I don’t think I’m worth the reward, but I’m so pleased! Thanks!! I’ll do my best to post more often
Thank you so much Dear, for such sweet words, about my form of on-line journaling.
Doesn’t that {on-line journaling} sound so much nicer than the ding-dang word of ‘blog’? -smile- Sure it does, but it’s so much quicker to just write ‘blog’!!! -repeat smile-
Mari-Nanci
Ding-dang Blogger keeps turning off my Profile Page, from showing as a click-able link. I keep trying to reinstate it. They turn it off again. Yishhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
So, I will simply have to remember to sign my name, with the link to my blog, right under it.
Ding-dang Blogger!!!

Can’t say I deserve to be with all the other distinguished bloggers but I am honored just the same:-)
Dasha: You have a following, you know. Don’t let us down. (No pressha!)
M-N: Yes, an on-line journal DOES sound better. But blogging is just such a part of my vocabulary now. Ding-dang blogging has a nice ring… (You know, you can switch over to another blogging host…and retain all of your current posts…if you continue to have trouble…)
Riverrat: I just knew that you’d consider yourself unworthy (I almost wrote that in my description of you and your blog), but don’t sell yourself short. You have LOTS to share. (Any word from Linnea or Ben on how her training is going?!)
I agree what you said about Lisa and this is a nice way to get to know new bloggers.
Thank you very much for doing this and have a good weekend.
Jim
This has been fun Marianna! It’s a good way to find new blogs to read!
Jim: I have passed on information from your blog to my husband who is currently planning a medical conference here specifically for children born with or suspected of having disabilities. Your posts have given some obvious insights…
Michelle: It has been fun, hasn’t it?! Lots of good stuff out there in the blogosphere!
