I know that I am supposed to pass on my awesome Excellent award to 10 more bloggers. But I am struggling to find the time to write my normalna (Ukrainian/Russian for normal — accent on the second sylLAble) entries AND choose only 10 wonderful bloggers.
So, rather than putting this off any longer, I thought I would begin with 3.
Michelle is a missionary serving God here in Ukraine through an awesome ministry to street children. She maintains not only a personal blog, but also a ministry blog. Scenes from the Sidewalk gives you a firsthand up-close and personal look at the street children in Kyiv. So my first of ten awards goes to Michelle. Thanks for all you’re doing, Friend, and thanks for the push you gave me to start my blog. You are the queen, and we, your adoring subjects, hope we make you proud!
Another blog that I try to get to every single day (because there ALWAYS is a new post every single day) is fingerpost. Damien pairs a thought-provoking quote with a photo each day. Sometimes humorous. Sometimes not. The comments are always fun to read as well. We’ve known his family for many years, and are pleased to present him with the Excellent award. (Take a look at his sidebar and click on wordforword if you want to enjoy a little word association game…)
Do you all remember when you first got married? And did anyone then move away from family and dear friends…like way far away? Read the thoughts that Linnea writes on her Handy Dandy Website as she blogs through her first year of marriage. Lots of change! (She is currently at a training seminar for her job, so I am not sure whether she has access to the internet. She’ll be back soon, I’m sure, and her sweet posts are good for the soul.) I was particularly touched by this vunerable post. And this one.
I promise to get back onto this task, but I need to stay on top of current happenings here, as well as thoughts from various books and articles I am reading.
Stay tuned.
(Oh, Michelle, Damien, and Linnea: Your job is to pass on this award to 10 other bloggers. Leave a message on their blog to let them know…)

wow marianna, i’m flabbergasted! thank you.
Excellent choices:-) Of course I whole-heartily agree with number three! She amazes me and I’m very proud to know L.T. and to have her in my family! And boy, do I remember those early marriage days…sweet and tough! And then to be far away-she has a great attitude! An example to her MIL.
Damien: My pleasure! It’s a stop I try to make each afternoon (we’re 7 hours ahead…) for a little food for thought. I mostly lurk, though… love your “Would it kill ya to leave a comment?”
Riverrat: She is one special young woman…married to quite a young man. I remember his HUGE efforts when we were raking leaves in our neighborhood once upon a time. They each come from loving examples of faithful families… we pray for them frequently!
Thank you so much for the encouragement Marianna. This blog on street children is special to my heart. Thanks for recognizing it! I now have a lot of work to come up with ten blogs to award this to!
Your Blog Queen….
I can’t imagine why Blogger would ask you for some password, to comment in my blog! Oh sigh… I hope my problems with people not being able to comment, has not returned. Eeeek!
If this happens to you again, would you please email me? Please and thank you.

I have no way of knowing, that this is happening… It’s a Catch 22. People can’t comment, so they can’t let me know that they can’t comment, and I can’t complain to Blogger.
I do have the Word Authorization re-installed. I *hate* those things, when I have to do them, in other people’s blogs. So I took it off of mine. But!!!! A worm/virus link was put in a comment in one of my blogs. And someone from Greece caught it and warned me. Thankfully.
He suggested that I put the Word Authorization back on. So, I did.
But you know what those look like, and are familiar with having to do them, in many blog comments. I don’t know what Blogger was doing to you. -sigh-
Mari-Nanci
Michelle: It is truly a great blog — informative, heartwarming, convicting.
Mari-Nanci: I kept assuming that all would work out so no need to concern you. And then when I realized that it had been a REALLY long time since I had been able to leave a message, it worked! Still a minor problem, but at least I can leave a message. I’ll just have to leave my blog address in my comment…
