One of the worst mining disasters in recent history claimed over 80 lives. I wish that I could write that these accidents are rare — but the truth is that the mines here are considered extremely dangerous.
Several men are still missing, but all indications point to the fact that there is virtually no hope of finding them alive.

I love my life. I am living in Ukraine with my best friend (my hubby) and I have the privilege of visiting hospitalized children who are HIV+. Some are orphans; some have families. All need attention.
